Debutante Program
The Kappa Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated hosts our signature Debutante Program annually. The Debutante Program is open to a select group of young ladies who are high school seniors or local college freshmen (as of the upcoming August school year) and typically spans from May through November. Each debutante who is accepted into the Debutante Program, by way of invitation, a completed application and a successful interview, is expected to be a committed participant and dedicated to the overall process, experience and mentorship that will be made available and completely accessible to them during the duration of the program. The Debutante Program will conclude with the Debutante Ball which is the presentation day/debut of our debutantes who have completed the program.
The Debutante Program experience includes: charm and poise awareness, cultural awareness, academic enrichment, college preparation, scholarship information, career awareness, community service, a waltz presentation, personal safety awareness, social activities.
By invitation only, the Debutante Informational Tea is typically held between March and May where each prospective Debutante can expect to get additional information and to ask questions regarding the process, costs, requirements, etc. Refer to our calendar via the "Calendar & Events" page of our website or any member of the Kappa Beta Omega Chapter for updates on our events.
